A Message from President Snow:
"Greetings fine and superior residents of our shining Capitol. As this important event begins, let us remember the Treaty of Treason which guarantees peace in our nation. Let us never forget the Dark Days. May the residents of our 12 remaining districts be ever mindful of the lessons learned in the destruction of District 13, and grateful for the power and strength of Panem under the Treaty of Treason. May all district residents remember it is a time for repentance and a time for thanks. As Reaping Day events take place across our land, let us hope for selection of Tributes who are worthy of entertaining our nation in the 74th Hunger Games."
